FAQ's
OUR TUBERS
We grow every tuber we sell and are not a reseller (buying from abroad and selling again). Tubers have healthy bodies, intact and healthy necks, and at least one eye.
OUR PRACTICES
We take the best care of our plants, inspecting them for illness and maintaining their health throughout the season. We pull all suspicious plants during the growing season.
We disinfect between each plant when we cut stems of blooms, as well as when we divide tubers to avoid the potential spread of disease.
That being said, please understand that by purchasing you accept the fact that dahlias sometimes get sick, just like any other plant, and virus is not 100% avoidable.
SHIPPING/PICK UP
Shipping is available within the continental US only. We currently do not ship Hawaii, or to countries outside of the US. We can accommodate local pick up if you, and you can choose that at check out.
You can place as many orders as you'd like but we cannot combine shipping at this time.
Your tubers will be combined in a bag. Will will label each tuber with the variety name.
All orders are processed through the USPS using flat rate priority mail. We start shipping mid-April.
We will close down the website the morning of the sale so we can update inventory. It may look like you need a password to access the website, but that's just so that we can work on the back end to update the stock. The website will open back up at noon EST on March 22.
GUARANTEE
Thank you for supporting our little farm! We guarantee that your tuber will arrive with at least one eye, neck and body intact and healthy for planting. Please reach out to us within 1 week receipt of your order arriving if you have any concerns and we will do our best to help you. Once the 1 week has passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers.
It's rare, but if you find a tuber that doesn't grow into what you purchased, simply send us a photo and we will try out best to identify it for you.
Please understand that we are not responsible for damage due to bad weather, lack of sunlight, pests, poor soil and nutrition, negligence, rot, or plant performance.
MYSTERY TUBERS
These are a great way to start your own dahlia collection. All of these tubers come from our plots and are an assorted mix of our beloved varieties (all the ones you see in this shop). They include tubers that, during the dividing process, got mixed up and we'd consider it a "mystery". Some may be labeled, so may not be. They will be beautiful and healthy. We cannot guarantee that you will receive a specific number of tubers for each variety. While we try to provide you with a nice selection of each variety, these collections will include multiples of the same variety, whether they are labeled or not. We will not refund or reship orders that receive multiple tubers for the same variety. If you are looking for specific numbers of specific varieties, please consider ordering however many tubers of your desired varieties as a separate order. If you reach out to us when they are blooming, we will do our best to identify them for you (however, temperatures can change the color of some of these varieties and we may not always be able to identify them).
SUBSTITUTIONS
We can offer substitutions on a case by case scenario if we can match it with something similar. If something unexpected happens before we ship to you, we will contact you to let you know. If we are unable to match it before shipping time, we will offer you a refund for the tuber that was lost.
CANCELLATIONS
Once an order is placed it is final. We do not accept cancellations or changes to an order after it is placed.
SIZE
Please note, tubers come in all sizes and shapes. Some are super funky, some are really smooth. Some are dark, some are light, some are in-between. Regardless of color, shape, smoothness, all tubers that are sent out are viable. Please don't judge the size of the tuber with the outcome of the bloom.
